Jemaa El FnaRiad le Rubis

This square is the main tourist attraction of Marrakech.

Driven by an intense way life, onlookers, musicians, shopkeepers, dancers, snake charmers, healers … form a unique colourful crowd.

Marrakech is the place to be, according to “oral heritage of humanity” by UNESCO.



Marrakech Museum

The 2000 m2 museum is located next to the Medersa Ben Youssef. It displays many exhibitions of contemporary art or more traditional art, this changes according to the time of the year.

It is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (3:00 p.m. April to September). Important to know that in July and August the museum is closed from 13H00 to 15H00. Closed on May 1st and religious holidays.




The souks of Medina are among the best in Morocco. Carpets, candles, ceramics, linens, clothing, slippers, argan oil … and many other wonders that you will be pleased to discover.

Riad le Rubis

You will find various kinds souks:

– Dyers’ Souk
– Souk Chouani (the basket makers)
– Souk Habbadine (the ironmongers)
– Souk brass
– Souk SMATA (the slippers)
– Souk Cherratine (the leather)

You must not foget that in the souks there are a dozen doors that close around 10:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.



La Medersa Ben Youssef

Medersa Ben Youssef is one of the most prominent monuments of the city. Founded around 1565, it was completely rebuilt by the Saadian ruler Moulay Abdallah, it became the largest university of Koranic theology in Maghreb. It is joined to the Ben Youssef Mosque, the oldest Mosque in Marrakech.

This Mosque can not be visited but you can visit the Medersa Ben Youssef.

Visit every day from 9:30 to 6:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. April to September).

Closed on May 1st and religious holidays.



KoutoubiaRiad Le Rubis

The Koutoubia Mosque is the most famous in Marrakech. It is fascinating because of the beauty of its forms and its remarkable minaret that is visible from more than 25 km and is 77 meters high.

Do not miss the sunset, and the Koutoubia when it is lighted, giving it a different appearance.

Koutoubia cannot be visited but you can walk around the gardens.




Its highest point is the Jbel Toubkal (4167m) located in the mountains of the High Atlas of Morocco. The Atlas is located 68 km from Marrakech. We never get tired of contemplating this scenery.



Majorelle Gardens

Riad le RubisThe Majorelle Gardens have a collection of plants brought from around the world by Jacques Majorelle, who enjoys the pools and the elegant art deco villa. It is a quiet and truly beautiful place to see.

You can take wonderful pictures and have a good time.

For information, the ashes of Yves Saint Laurent are scattered in this place.

Open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. July to September; 6:30 p.m. in October, November, May and June; 6:00 p.m. in March and April; 5:30 p.m. December to February.




This elegant building, recognizable by its green tiles, is in a large pool. It is here that the family Marrakchis come to enjoy freshness during the hottest days in summer.

Enjoy the pleasures of the fountain and walks in the largest olive grove of the city.

This place is open from 7:00 a.m. and closes shortly before sunset.



Bahia PalaceRiad le Rubis

Lovers of the Eternal East, will love visiting the magnificent Bahia Palace “Palace Beautiful”, where luxury apartments and secret patios alternate in surprising sophistication highlighted by gorgeous Andalusian gardens.
The palace can be visited every day from 8:45 to 11:45 and 2:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

I closes on Friday between 11:30 ET 15:00. Times may vary depending on the season.



Saadian Tombs

Saadian tombs are located in the gardens of El Mansour mosque. There you find the tombs of kings and their families.
Visit the tombs every day from 8:30 to 11:45 and 2:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
